[BitV] Logs - Setup and Session 1
Hey all,
There were demands on Storygames for us to share the logs of the sessions of our All-Female Dogs game, affectionately called "Bitches in the Vinyard".
Here are the logs, edited for clarity:
In case it isn't clear from the context:
- Lines preceeded by "OOC" are out of character.
- Lines preceeded by "Dogs: " are the dice and resolution effects.
- "Sister Abigail" is "KJ" Jessica - kleenestar.
- "Sister Clemintine" is "PJ" Jesica - peaseblossom
- "Sister Hannah" is Nancy
- "Sister Chase" is Mo
Also, we experienced some technical problems with our first conflict resolution tool, so if the numbers seem screwy, don't worry about it.

Amusing little side note: as I read, I'm so used to playtesting Agora that I see low rolls and I'm all, "Yay, good roll! Look, a 1!" and then I remember that that sucks in Dogs.
Also: freeplay in Dogs, just talking. That's... weird.

Facinating character creation. I read part one and your characters really are amazing. The comment to the effect of "these characters don't need towns, they'll tear one another apart" seems on the mark. So far I've only read part one but I'm totally hooked on your game. I hope you keep posting the play sessions. I'd pay a kings ransom to have 4 people with as much character investment as you four seem to. I'd never have a boring rp session again.

Wow, that's cool as hell. The IC cleaned-up version is riveting, and then to go back and see all the guts is very instructive. Rock on, bitches.
I've only read the setup logs so far, but, funny thing.
I know Sister Clementine's (PJ's) horse. In fact, I live less than a kilometre from where he lives.
And his name is Caezar.
I'm the announcer for a small horse show a friend runs every year. At it, I've seen him Pole-bend with a 300-pound man on his back, then, no more than ten minutes later, run the course again with a 6 year old girl as his rider.
He's also really popular for giving rides to toddlers when he's not competing. About the only reason for parents and Caezer's owner to even bother staying close is sheer prudence. He could walk badlands without losing a child off his back.
Loving the logs so far. Looking forward to getting a chance to read the rest. It's shaping up to be a great game, ladies [+Brand].
